Yunshui is one of the members of Wikipedia's 2015 Arbitration Committee who banned our editor Coat of Many Colours following a complaint by the Wikipedia editor Hafspajen that Coat was hacking Hafspajen's computer. Hafspajen later claimed that it was Wikipedia itself that was hacking her computer. The issue was investigated by Wikipedia and no evidence was found to suggest that Hafspajen's account had been compromised. Hafspajen nevertheless continued to maintain that Wikipedia was hacking her computer and ceased editing at the beginning of the year (2016).

Yunshui has retired his account. In his retiring statement, he indicated he felt burnt out by his experience with Arbcom. He never self-identified on his User page and there are scant clues as to his identity. His moniker (literally "cloud monkey") means a novice or itinerant monk in Zen Buddhism. However, Yunshui said he knew only a few phrases of Japanese. His easy facility with English suggests he is perhaps a journalist or a similar professional writer. At any rate, he had relatively little to do with Aaij, despite the latter ingratiating himself at one point (another head, what is it with Aaij and severed heads?)

Yunshui became an administrator (unopposed) in 2012 and an arbitrator in 2014. He was an online volunteer and assisted with at least one such educational program. Edit stats conducted late May 2016 show that Yunshui made some 46,000 edits over a nine year period commencing 2009, an average of about 19 edits a day. Of these 24% were in article space. His editing interests appeared to reflect his interest in martial arts. They include an article start for for Sakakibara Kenkichi.
